I'm very interested and intrigued with this feature So this combat customization consists only in buying new fatalities or adding new directional and special attacks too? I suppose every race owns his unique directional attacks which define his style, am I wrong? Thank you again!!

You are right, every race owns an unique combat style, because they use different attack and defense weapons. The different movements, combos, counters and fatalities that you can unblock and purchase will give you a way to differenciate your character from others characters of the same race.
