We have detected a few complaints about all the characters looking too similar - well, let´s say exactly the same. Our forum veterans already know that we will have a lot of items to customize and personalize characters, but just to be sure everyone understand that: In Skara you will be able to create an unique avatar, choosing hundreds of combinations of hair, head, clothes, armor and weapons - and don´t forget animations, special attacks and fatalities.

The thing is that we are still in a very early stage of development, so we just have the basic configuration of Durno and Khärn - Shinse is about to make a big appearance - but trust me when I say that our art team is working in the first armor and weapons upgrades, and they are putting a lot of effort to make them truly spectacular and convince you to purchase them. At the end, we are a company and we want to make money selling those cosmetic items.

I have a question, in a earlier conversation I learned about youre rank system and that always someone will be "the leader" how will you show that and if you haven't got an Idea yet what about a banner on the back with the faktions logo?

Well we are actually discussing several options to show the leaders of the factions in the arenas but we will be glad to listen to your ideas!

One of our ideas is to paint some elements on the armors of the players with the colors of the faction only in the faction battles so maybe an idea to differentiate the leader can be as you say to put something else on his back.

Another possibility would be to highlight the character icon on the HUD, or give to all the factions leaders a fancy cape with their logo.

I think the logo/HUD idea would be best. That way players aren't squinting at the armor to see who's the leader. It can be right next to the name of the character. Simplicity and all that.

I have an Idea for you guys what about giving the leaders a unique weapon skin so every body will know who they are fighting

Nice idea! We are even thinking about giving unique special skills to faction leaders so they could take advantage of them in Faction Battle Game Modes!

I also like your idea Genghis Khärn! The only problem is as each character will be able to equip different weapons we will need to make one special skin for each weapon which will not be very productive! Maybe the solution can be a color code that only the faction leaders can wear.
